Job Overview
We are seeking a self employed gardener to help with extra demand in work. Potential for winter work and a continued sub-contract role working with the business for the right person. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture, garden maintenance and customer service. This role involves working outdoors, lone working, tending to various gardens in remote locations. Own transport and tools in good working order is also essential. Mileage is paid in addition to hourly rate. Certificates for power garden tools required.
Responsibilities
- Perform garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and pruning plants to promote healthy growth.
- Irrigate and feed pots and planters where necessary.
- Carry out weeding, mulching, and maintaining pathways.
- Safe operation of power tools such as lawn mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Utilise hand tools for planting, digging, and maintaining garden beds.
- Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases that may require attention.
Experience
- Previous experience in gardening is essential.
- Wildlife friendly gardening
- Experience in operating both power tools and hand tools used in gardening tasks is essential.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: From £15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 6 per week
