Job Title: Security Officer
Location: Oundle
Working Hours: 14:00 23:00, Monday to Sunday, on a 4 on / 4 off rota
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Role Overview
Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking a professional and proactive Security Officer to join their dedicated team. You will be working across a number of high-profile corporate and horticultural buildings, ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets.
This role involves a significant amount of walking throughout each shift, so applicants must be comfortable with sustained periods on their feet and covering large areas on patrol.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to incidents, completing detailed incident reports and recording evidence.
- Engage positively and professionally with students, staff, and members of the public.
- Deliver excellent customer service with a positive and approachable attitude.
- Handle inappropriate behaviour professionally and in line with site protocols.
- Operate alarm systems (training provided).
- Lock and secure campus buildings at designated times.
- Work closely with the Security Site Lead to maintain high operational standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid SIA licence in the relevant sector.
- Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Confident with Excel and PC-based systems.
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility towards working hours.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and takes pride in daily responsibilities.
- Strong team player with a proactive mindset.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
