Security Officer

3 x 12hr Day Shifts 06:00 - 18:00 hrs. 3 x12hr Night Shifts 18:00-06:00 hrs. 3x Days Off

Must possess valid SIA licence (Security Industry Authority Licence)

SIA Licence paid for on renewal

Must have a checkable work record for last five years

Job Purpose:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees and the public by patrolling and monitoring premises and equipment.

Duties:

• Working various shifts covering days, nights & weekends.
• The ideal applicant needs to be flexible to cover static positions in the Plymouth and surrounding areas.
• Secure premises by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; reporting trespassers.
• You must be a good communicator both verbal and written, you may be dealing with local authorities and law enforcement agencies.
• You may be expected to deliver concise written reports at the end of your shift.
• Control of traffic on & off site
• Expected Skills:
• There could be a possibility that you will be required to walk some distance over rough terrain including during hours of darkness
• Experience as security officer preferred or training will be given.
• Ability to deal with uncertainty in calm and professional manner
• Knowledge of public safety management
• Possess good judgement, personal integrity and objectivity
• Good report writing skills
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Experience in surveillance systems
• Reliable and dependable
