Job Overview:
Wicked Cookies is on the hunt for an energetic Christmas Sales Assistant who thrives on meeting new people, and loves high quality, artisan food and all things Christmas to sell cookies at The Birmingham Christmas Market in Cathedral Square, Colmore Row (B3 2QB).
We are currently looking for someone flexible that can cover a mixture of early shifts, late shifts and weekend shifts from 6th November to 21st December 2025 and is happy to work on their own most of the time.
This role offers a fabulous opportunity to enjoy the Christmas vibe, sights and smells of one of Birminghams much loved Christmas events, whilst selling our delicious, freshly baked, award winning cookies. Don’t worry…we'll handle the baking and prep; you bring the fun!
We have cookies to suit gluten, dairy and nut allergies which means we’re often the most popular Chalet in town! Our award-winning cookies are made using the very best ingredients… in fact, they’re the highest quality cookies in the land!
The market runs 7 days a week, trade hours are usually 11am to 9.30pm. Solo split shifts are available and are typically 10am to 3.30pm or 3.30pm to 9.30pm. Saturday shifts are 10am-4pm or 2pm-9.30pm. Usual rota'd hours per week - 15 to 30 hours.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has a hard-working, positive attitude and is physically able to cope with the moderate demands of the Christmas team role eg: lifting heavy boxes of cookies, setting-up and packing down the chalet.
You’re a people person with excellent customer service skills, who will be excited to maintain our 5 star review status. You’re self-motivated, confident and disciplined as you will be required to work on your own most of the time.
Although full training will be provided, it would be an advantage if you already have prior food/restaurant experience and/or a level 2 food hygiene certificate.
You’ll also need to be happy to work outside in cold weather (we do provide a cold weather uniform to keep you comfortable).
Responsibilities:
- Cookie display set up in the mornings/pack down at night
- Maintain excellent customer service
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene practices
- Take cash/card payments using an app downloaded to your phone
- Stock management
- Cleaning
Requirements:
- Available from Thursday 6th November to Sunday 21st December
- A happy, enthusiastic and outgoing personality
- Available to work shifts during the week and at weekends
- Able to work solo
