Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will facilitate the Agile development process, ensuring that teams adhere to Scrum principles and practices. As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in guiding teams towards successful project delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage projects will be essential in driving collaboration and achieving project goals.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure effective team collaboration.
- Coach team members on Agile methodologies and Scrum practices, promoting self-organisation and accountability.
- Remove impediments that hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth workflow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a well-defined product backlog and ensure prioritisation aligns with business objectives.
- Monitor team performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Utilise tools such as TFS for tracking progress and managing project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and issues.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution as part of project management efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Waterfall frameworks.
- Experience with agile tools and platforms (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of complementary Agile Frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean)
- Proficiency in project management tools such as TFS; familiarity with AWS is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of SQL for data management and reporting purposes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word for documentation and reporting tasks.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner) are preferred but not mandatory.
