Yard Operative
Plymouth
As Yard Operative you will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Depot. It will be your job to prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for customers deliveries, off hires and supplier deliveries.
Your duties will include:
- Cleaning and preparing equipment
- Checking and storing off-hired equipment
- Maintaining a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas
- Liaise with staff on a day to day basis when loading and unloading
What you will need to bring to the role from day one:
- The physical fitness required to undertake your daily tasks
- Ability to work as part of a team and to complete job duties on time
- A Forklift License would be beneficial, however would consider someone with an expired License.
- Driving license is required
- HGV License would be advantageous, however, not essential.
- Willing to undertake relevant training and development
- Commitment to health and safety - Knowledge of PPE requirements and COSHH is an advantage
- Transport required due to the location of the branch
PLEASE NOTE: PAY RANGE IS DEPENADANT ON EXPERIENCE AND WILL BE DISCUSSED AT INTERVIEW STAGE.

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
