Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Scaffolder and part 2 HGV driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, erecting and dismantling scaffolding systems to support construction and maintenance activities. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in various environments. The Scaffolder will collaborate with other tradespeople and ensure that all scaffolding is secure and compliant with industry standards.
Duties
- Construct and assemble scaffolding systems according to specifications and safety regulations.
- Dismantle scaffolding safely and efficiently upon project completion.
- Inspect scaffolding for stability and safety before each use.
- Collaborate with other trades, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including hand tools and power tools.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in training new scaffolders on proper techniques and safety practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to scaffolding.
- Ability to weld and fabricate components as needed for custom scaffolding solutions.
- Knowledge of masonry techniques that may be required during scaffold construction.
- Understanding of plumb principles to ensure vertical accuracy in scaffold assembly.
- Experience with electrical installations related to scaffold setups is advantageous.
- Skills in painting or finishing surfaces where scaffolding is applied may be beneficial.
- Familiarity with roofing techniques can enhance the effectiveness of scaffold applications on elevated structures.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across various trades.
