Location: Midsummer House, Midsummer Common, Cambridge CB4 1HA
Salary: Up to £13.50 per hour plus tips (DOE)
Hours: 11.30am-4pm & 6.30pm-12 Midnight (Both shifts on both days)
Every Friday and Saturday (Every week)
Holiday: 5 weeks holiday Pro Rata (inclusive of 2 weeks over Christmas, 1 week in spring and 2 weeks in summer)
Days: This is a permanent job, two days a week.
The restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday. Flexibility to work all shifts between all specified days is required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The opportunity has become available for you to join East Anglia’s only 2 Michelin Star Restaurant, Midsummer House in Cambridge. We are looking for enthusiastic Restaurant Runners to join our Midsummer House team.
A key part of the role is to deliver food for the waiting staff to serve to our guests in an efficient and timely manner. This role commands strength and general physical fitness due to the carrying of heavy trays and dishes. Duties include cleaning and setting up the back of house area, with a focus on the washing and polishing of cutlery and plates.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicating with the chefs so that when food is ready to be taken, it is promptly and carefully done so with accuracy.
- Polishing of crockery, which is then neatly stacked in the appropriate place in the pass.
- Polishing of cutlery, which is then brought into the restaurant.
- Maintaining of the back of house area is kept clean and tidy, in line with health and safety.
- You are responsible for preparing tea and coffee.
- Supporting the restaurant team with cleaning.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any concerns or requests promptly
- Deliver our key values and follow the rules at all times, a 5-star experience delivered with the guarantee you have adhered to how we do things
- You must be able to commit to Friday and Saturday every week
