We are recruiting a Roamer/Tramper HGV Driver to join our team, working from our Operation Centre in Sandtoft.
Your home location will be Sandtoft, but you will be required to travel to our other operation centres to assist them with holiday cover and increased workload. You will be expected to complete 3 to 4 overnights per week, for which you will receive an additional overnight allowance payment.

Driving one of our modern fleet transporters, you will collect and deliver vehicles of all shapes and sizes from both rural and urban environments. These vehicles are primarily accident damaged and therefore loading/unloading them can be physically demanding. We will however ensure you have the best training to steer you to success!
Our Drivers carry out internal and external checks on their trucks and equipment and report any defects, photograph any damage and carry out inspections of all collected and delivered vehicles.
You must comply with legal and company requirements of a professional driver and operate the vehicle and loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all H&S policies and procedures.
A reasonable salary expectation based on an average on 6 vehicle collections per day, would be approx. £41,500 + additional overnight allowance
What we need from you:
- It’s essential that you possess an HGV/LGV Licence, Class 1
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A good understanding of the EU drivers' hours and working time rules
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Great customer service skills
- Proficient in basic IT skills and the use of a handheld device
- Car transportation or recovery experience would be an advantage, but not essential
