This will include working in all weathers, on all parts of the Highway remote from the Highways Depot. The ideal candidate will have the appropriate qualifications or experience, a proven record carrying out works associated with the maintenance repairs and installation of public lighting assets. The candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Highways Public lighting works and associated road works.
Candidates must have the ability to work on their own initiative and unsupervised. Operatives would need to have significant relevant experience and or appropriate accreditations to semi-skilled level in number of areas such as tarmacking, trenching works, laying ducts, pothole repair, laying or kerbs and slabs, traffic management, winter maintenance, flooding duties, working to precise levels, traffic lights, setting out, training other operatives and any other works of a similar nature.
This role is a permanent position working 37hrs a week.
