Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, support patients in their recovery journey, and promote mental health awareness within the community.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients' mental health needs through comprehensive interviews and observations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, fostering a therapeutic environment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance care delivery.
- Educate patients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices within the clinical setting.
Requirements
- Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with a valid NMC pin
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.
- Empathetic, resilient, and committed to patient-centred care
- Experience in mental health settings (desirable but not essential – newly qualified nurses welcome)
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent clinical decision-making skills

Pay: £40,705.60 per year
