We’re working with a leading UK retail bank undergoing a major shift in how they manage customer journeys across core banking products. They are moving from a traditional structure with decentralised product responsibility to a more formalised product ownership model - with an emphasis on solution ownership, customer-centric design and operational control.
During this contract role, you will act as a Risk and Compliance SME, playing a key part in shaping and optimising customer journeys across current accounts and overdraft products.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the risk lead for current account and overdraft journeys
- Map, assess and make recommendations to improve controls around customer journeys
- Lead process re-engineering initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
- Ensure all changes meet regulatory and compliance standards
- Lead risk reviews, issue resolution and remediation work
- Define and oversee product-level controls and governance structures
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in risk management within retail banking
- Strong understanding of current accounts and overdraft products
- Proven exposure to process mapping, process redesign, and journey optimisation
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in a retail banking context
- Comfortable working in cross-functional delivery environments with matrix stakeholders
Benefits
3-month contract, paying in the region of £450 - £600 per day outside ir35.
