Job description
The Cotswold Company is the home of beautiful homewares and handcrafted furniture, built to last a lifetime.
Our returns hub is based in Lichfield, in the Midlands and we are seeking new colleagues to process and grade returns into the business in a timely manner.
As part of the returns team, you will be helping with unloading delivery vehicles, scanning and putting goods away, picking, packing, despatch and returns. We are looking for highly-motivated individuals who enjoy a physically demanding role.
Whilst the role will be based in Lichfield, initial training will be carried out at our Wednesbury site, until September, so the ability to reach both sites will be essential.
Key duties of the role will include:
- Accurately receive all returned items against the manifest, ensuring discrepancies are promptly reported.
- Open, inspect, and assess the condition of returned products, grading them according to agreed standards (e.g., Back to Stock, Green, Orange, Red).
- Record all return processing details accurately and in a timely manner in the Returns Management System (RMS).
- Identify and communicate any recurring product or manufacturing faults to support continuous improvement.
- Assist Team Leaders in gathering evidence for supplier claims and product quality disputes.
- Support the coordination and fulfilment of auction and trader collections.
- Process and dispatch replacement parts orders accurately and efficiently, as required.
- Ensure all returned items are correctly entered into the RMS and appropriately categorised.
