Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Retrofit Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating existing buildings and systems to identify opportunities for retrofitting that enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. This role is crucial in helping clients reduce their carbon footprint while ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of buildings to determine the feasibility of retrofit projects.
- Identify and analyse energy-saving opportunities, including insulation, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and potential cost savings for clients.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop retrofit plans that align with client objectives.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints through effective cost control measures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to energy efficiency and retrofitting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building assessments or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles and retrofit technologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- DEA certification required
- Retrofit assessor certification required
- Traditional buildings certificate required
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to clients and team members.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, architecture, or environmental science would be advantageous.
