The Dormant Distillery Company operate one of the worlds leading Whisky Specialist retailers and wholesalers, Royal Mile Whiskies. Founded in 1998, the company also run a specialist tobacconist on the Royal Mile The Cigar Box and in 2011 opened two specialist Drinks retail shops in Edinburgh and Pitlochry Drinkmonger with the vision to provide the most comprehensive range of quality alcohol products in Scotland.
Along with their online business through www.royalmilewhiskies.comand www.drinkmonger.com, the company have also developed a wholesale business, supplying the on-trade across Scotland and beyond.
The Role
Retail Supervisor -
As a Retail Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the store. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective organisational abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
The Supervisor will report to the Branch Manager.
Responsibilities
Supporting the Retail Branch Manager:
Assist in the day-to-day performance and operations of the store, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Monitoring Store Performance:
Regularly review sales data, KPIs, and financial reports. Identify areas for improvement and take necessary actions to enhance sales growth and profitability.
Ensuring Operational Excellence:
Contribute to operational excellence by ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Collaborating on Sales Strategies:
Collaborate with the team to implement sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and pricing initiatives to increase footfall and drive sales.
Upholding Customer Service Excellence:
Uphold customer service excellence by fostering a customer-centric culture in the store. Set high standards for customer service and ensure team members deliver exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Supporting Staff Management:
Assist in staff management by supporting the training and development of store staff while maintaining a positive work environment.
Contributing to Budget and Expense Management:
Contribute to budget and expense management by assisting in monitoring and controlling store expenses within the allocated budget

This is a Full-time permanent post. We are offering an hourly rate of £13.39.
