Job Summary
The Restaurant Host Supervisor oversees the host team and ensures exceptional guest experiences from the moment guests arrive. This role is responsible for managing reservations, coordinating seating, maintaining waitlists and supporting overall front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally; monitor and manage guest flow to maximize efficiency and minimize wait times.
- Train, coach, and mentor host team members to ensure high-quality guest service and adherence to brand standards.
- Monitor dining room capacity and manage reservation systems and waitlists.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff and management to coordinate seating and table turnover.
- Resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the front entrance, host stand and bar lounge area
- Support the Management Team with daily operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host, lead host or in a guest-facing supervisory role preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with reservation systems ( OpenTable, Res Diary) is a plus.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
