Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that each visitor has an enjoyable experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage reservations will be key to the success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimise guest flow.
- Maintain an organised waitlist during busy periods and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist with any guest inquiries or requests, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times.
- Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest experiences.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the front-of-house area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is a must.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
- Excellent phone etiquette, ensuring clear and courteous interactions over the phone.
- A genuine desire to help others, demonstrating a proactive approach to guest services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
