A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an approachable, motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in respiratory care!

You will work alongside the Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialists based at Pilgrim hospital, supporting patients with chronic lung diseases such as asthma and COPD.

We are a small friendly team and are keen to support and nurture our staff enabling each individual to develop and reach their full potential whilst also being involved in the provision of the best evidence based care.

Working alongside and under the direction of the Specialist Respiratory Nurses you will be providing high quality, person-centred care to patients with chronic lung conditions.

The role will involve supporting aspects of care delivery on the wards and in the outpatient setting. Assisting in the assessment of the patient/carer needs and the provision of individualised and effective care, which supports health and wellbeing, promoting self-care where appropriate and possible. With appropriate training you will be tasked to carry out skills such as spirometry, capillary blood gases and inhaler techniques.

You will be an extended member of the Respiratory MDT, ensuring effective communication and timely referrals are made across the Trust, tertiary providers, primary care, statutory and voluntary agencies.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.

Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.

The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
