The successful candidate will work within the Pulmonary Rehabilitation pathway; we deliver this service across different venues within Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
The successful applicant will (with support) be responsible for the day-day provision of Pulmonary Rehabilitation, including exercise and education of patients within a group or virtual setting, pre- and post-assessment of patients and will provide encouragement and support for patient self-management.
You will be part of our multi-disciplinary respiratory team which consists of Respiratory Specialist Nurses, physios, and exercise instructors.
You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You must be able to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively and be able to work flexibly within the team and be confident in completing individual tasks.
This role will support the pulmonary rehabilitation service to carry out assessments, deliver exercise classes and education specifically catered to the respiratory patient cohort. The position holder will contribute to the overall development of the service across BNSSG.
To deliver exercise and education groups to service users with long term respiratory conditions.
To assess patients suitability for these groups
To prescribe and adapt individually tailored exercise programmes for patients
To signpost patients to local wellbeing and exercise groups to support them to continue exercising
