Day to Day responsibilities
A typical day in the home consists of all the things a parent would do for their own child. This means planning their week, ensuring children are eating a balanced diet, providing transport to and from education as well as any health appointments. The home encourages young people to try new things so you'll be expected to support extracurricular activities as well.
As a regulated industry, safeguarding, recordkeeping and recording are of the upmost importance.
Type of person we are looking for
The young people here can be vulnerable and have been let down numerous times throughout their lives.
This means sometimes they can display challenging behaviour. As a result, you'll need to be a confident individual that is resilient and is able to think quickly, act appropriately and de-escalate any situation you may face. You will need to be able to work a mix of day, night and sleep-in shifts. There are a range of shift times which are 07:30-15:00, 14:30-22:00, 07:30-22:00, 21:30-08:00.
If you have a drivers license and any qualifications relating to childcare, healthcare, supported living or mental health this will be a benefit to your application.
