The Supply Specialists are currently looking for Residential Children’s Support Workers to join our dedicated team.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for those studying Nursing, Psychology, or similar fields, though we welcome applications from anyone with strong experience working with children and a genuine passion for making a difference.
Role Overview
As a Children’s Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and caring for children in residential settings. You’ll be responsible for ensuring their wellbeing, encouraging independence, and helping them thrive in everyday life. Compassion, reliability, and excellent communication skills are essential. A driving licence is also required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support, ensuring the comfort and safety of children in your care.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Develop and follow individual care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals to deliver the highest standard of care.
- Keep accurate records of progress, behaviour, and any changes in circumstances.
- Encourage independence through social activities, engagement, and emotional support.
- Drive children to appointments, school, or community activities when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or in a similar support role is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confidence using IT systems for record-keeping and communication.
- Knowledge of care plans and their implementation.
- A compassionate, patient, and supportive nature.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
