Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. This role involves applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Hang wallpaper and apply decorative finishes as required.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with client specifications.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and materials.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site.
Skills
- Proficient in construction painting techniques with a strong understanding of various materials and finishes.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between job sites.
