What the day will look like
The Regional People Safety and Security Services Officer (RPSSO) serves as the principal point of contact between the centralized Global People Safety and Security organisation and the region's key operating officers, including the Chief Operating Officer(s), Chief Risk Officer(s), Chief People Officer(s), and Regional Head(s) of Technology. This position reports directly to the Global People Safety and Security Services Officer.
- Risk Management: Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating security risks across the region by utilising audit results, self-reported findings, metrics, and other relevant service outputs.
- Incident Response: Provide support for regional incident response activities, including the development and evaluation of crisis and emergency response plans.
- Compliance and Governance: ensuring regional adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards, with documentation maintained for audits and assessments.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate proactively with regional business leaders, People and Security teams, and additional stakeholders to embed security practices within business processes and operations. Prepare and deliver reports to leadership committees and Boards as appropriate.
This position holds significant responsibility within Aon, tasked with implementing comprehensive security measures throughout the region. Serving as the appointed security lead, the individual will represent the company in presentations to regional leadership, regulatory bodies, and clients, when necessary, while collaborating closely with Global People Safety and Security leaders across Physical Security, Special Protections, Investigations, and Crisis and Special Risk Management.
The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of security controls and their application within the region, demonstrate an understanding of potential implementation challenges, and exhibit strong relationship management abilities to facilitate effective business adoption.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Strong physical security knowledge and experience governing controls
- Knowledge of Physical and Personnel security principles and best practices
- Experience with Compliance assurance and Internal Audit practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effectively communicating with key stakeholders
