The Opportunity:
We are excited to be expanding our team and are looking for a dedicated and proactive Recruitment and Onboarding Officer to join us. This is a crucial role that will play a vital part in attracting, securing, and integrating talented individuals who share our commitment to outstanding care.
You will be instrumental in ensuring we have the right people in place to continue delivering the highest standards of care to our residents. If you are passionate about recruitment, have excellent organisational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all care home positions, from initial advertisement to offer.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
- Write compelling job descriptions and advertisements.
- Utilise various recruitment channels, including online job boards, social media, and local networks.
- Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate further interviews with hiring managers.
- Oversee all pre-employment checks, including DBS, references, and right-to-work documentation.
- Ensure all new employees feel welcomed, supported, and integrated into the team from day one.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment and HR records.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external recruitment partners.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes.
About You:
- Proven experience in a recruitment role, ideally within the healthcare or social care sector.
- Demonstrable experience in managing onboarding processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using recruitment software and HR systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, aligned with the values of a care home environment.
