Weekday cleaning duties in our boarding house in Penarth.
Fixed hours - 8am-4pm from Monday to Friday during term time, plus 2 additional days prior to the start of each term and after the end of each term.
Westbourne Boarding Job Description - Housekeeping
As a member of the Boarding team, you should carry out your role to support the needs of the students you work with and the School in general. It will be making sure the Boarding House is cleaned to standard each day, vacuuming, removing rubbish, wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping. The role will also include assisting with the laundry requirements of students who live in the Boarding House.
Main Responsibilities
- Clean and restock any designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bedrooms, washrooms cleaning, any other rooms that require to be cleaned etc).
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects if the need arises.
- Stock and maintain the cleaning cupboard as required.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and advise the Head of Boarding or Operational Manager of any health and safety issues.
- Reporting any maintenance issues to the Operational Manager/Maintenance Team.
- Assist with laundry requirements of the students.
- Attend regular staff meetings.
- To be familiar with and work in accordance with the policies, procedures and guidelines relating to the Boarding House and School.
- If required, undertake regulated activity, such as unsupervised contact with children, ensuring that safeguarding procedures are followed by providing safe and effective care at all times.
Successful applicants will require a DBS check.
