Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and be flexible in their approach to working hours.
Applicants should be aware that you will be part of the reception team, working on a rota basis between the core hours of Monday to Friday 07.45am-18.30pm. You must be available to work 'late' shifts until 6:30pm and be fully flexible on days. The reception team members are experienced and will be supportive to training and development to ensure that you are fully ready to speak to patients on the telephone or who come in to collect prescriptions.

The key role of the Receptionist/Administrator is to effectively contribute to the Practice team by assisting the clinical team in the provision of services to patients by facilitating access and undertaking various administrative & support duties in an organised, efficient, timely and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing them through a triage process the appropriate clinical professional.
- Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming at all times.
- Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, and maintaining office records.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments
- Handle correspondence via email
- Support team members with various office tasks as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a receptionist or similar administrative role is preferred.
- Strong clerical skills with a keen eye for detail in data entry tasks.
- Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in an office environment.
- Familiarity with general office equipment and computerised systems.
