Vacancy: Receptionist
Schedule: Part-time, permanent. 7-14 hours per week (plus Bank).
Job Summary:
- To be responsible for the effective daily management and operation of Reception
- To provide a welcoming and calm environment for visitors
- To be responsible for the telephone service in a friendly, professional manner
- To liaise with other receptionists to ensure a smooth daily handover and provide cover for annual leave, sickness etc.
- To book and take payments for staff/visitor meals
Key Tasks:
- To deal with staff, families of clients/residents, contractors etc and a cross section of visitors who frequent the home in a manner which will inspire confidence through:
· Good communication skills
· Pleasant, polite and helpful manner
· Neat & tidy appearance
· Organised handling of records and documents whilst complying with the Data Protection Act 1988
- To be computer literate: use of Word/Excel/e-mail etc
- To report any problems to the Operations Manager/Administrator
- To carry out other duties you may reasonably be asked to do
- To arrive on duty punctually and notify the Operations Manager/Administrator at the earliest opportunity of any intended absence.
- Specific Administrative tasks allocated from the management team
- From time to time sundry tasks may be required by the Fund Raising team
