We are seeking a reliable and organised Part Time Hotel Receptionist to join our team for 2 midweek shifts per week. Days can change and shifts are 7am to 3pm or 2pm to 10pm. As the first point of contact for our company, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our clients and visitors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proficient in office administration tasks, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities/ Main Duties:
· Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
· Gain general knowledge of the company and properties to enable to answer any queries.
· Gain local knowledge on transport/ tourist attractions and local amenities.
· Gain knowledge of computer system/ books so that all day-to-day business is completed as per training.
· When checking guests into the hotel enquire on wake up calls, newspaper and if they require dinner.
· Take guest to room and explain all facilities.
· Make sure all charges are added to the bill.
· Answer the telephone promptly and professionally.
· Have knowledge of PDQ machines to enable a X or Z reading as appropriate to complete cash reconciliation’s
· For security keep the cash taken safe.
· For security ensure all keys are returned to reception when guests leave the hotel.
· Ensure that guests are asked if they enjoyed their stay and record any relevant comments.
· Carry out any reasonable duties related to the needs of the business that are within your capabilities.
