Job Title: Receptionist/Administrator

Location: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

Hours: Monday-Wednesday 22.5 hours per week

Trust Location: Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Armthorpe Road, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN2 5LT

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Receiving patients/patient reception. Act as a friendly and confidential first point of contact for internal and external queries, responding to general enquiries.

· Handling telephone queries, taking messages. Explanation. Booking patient investigations using the Tomcat CVIS Information System and CaMIS for NHS, Cat II and private patients.

· Booking in/out case notes using the CaMIS system

Clinic Reconciliation using CaMIS

Collect/return case notes from medical records or other departments

· Booking patient transport where appropriate

· Filing test reports & documents

· Distribution of test reports to appropriate staff

· Maintenance of stock levels, sorting ,and checking of deliveris

Sort incoming/outgoing post.

Occasional secretarial support and other duties of a clerical nature that may be required.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Previous NHS Experience needed

· NHS System experience

· Excellent Typing experience

· Good telephone manner

· Ability to work under pressure

· IT Skills
