Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organization partnered with several market-leading automotive manufacturers. We are seeking to recruit a Quality and Compliance Specialist to join our team working on the Mercedes-Benz Retailer Apprenticeship Programme, based at its state-of-the-art training centre in Milton Keynes.

The successful candidate will play a key role across all aspects of quality management and adherence to compliance standards. Candidates with experience in a similar role in the education sector would preferred, but those with a compliance and quality background would be considered.

As part of the quality and compliance team, you will work closely with the Apprenticeship Programme Management team to ensure high quality delivery across for all learners. You will support trainers and assessors to achieve a high standard of education in-line with Ofsted’s inspection framework and the awarding bodies we hold centre approval with. You will have a passion for ensuring our apprentices receive an exceptional learning experience from start to finish with robust information, advice and guidance at induction and throughout their apprenticeship programme. Attention to detail and active engagement with delivery and support staff to monitor, improve and maintain high standards of compliance against the Education Skills Funding Agency requirements is key to making the programme is always audit ready. You will work within Awarding Body standards and guidelines, policies and procedures as well as wider quality frameworks, such as Matrix Standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure appropriate and sufficient forms of quality assurance are implemented to a high standard

· Oversee the quality improvement process (QIP) across all our qualifications and standards and maintain the QIP

· Work in collaboration with trainers/assessors, internal quality assurance (IQA) and other staff/managers to ensure active participation in all quality improvement processes including self-assessment, action plans and performance review meetings

· Maintain quality improvement processes, tracking and reporting systems to ensure that achievement of performance targets are being met and that the programme can evidence impact on a learner’s progress

· Identify and report underperforming areas and implement robust actions plans which are clear about corrective actions and impact on learners

· Work with managers to ensure a high quality and fully compliant learning experience which satisfies the requirements of internal and external quality standards and regulatory bodies

· Engage with learners and employers undertaking induction, onboarding and support visits, providing high quality and robust internal advice and guidance (IAG) throughout the apprenticeship programme

· Ensure the programme is always inspection and audit ready

· Support the development of quality processes to enable trainers and assessors to achieve good / outstanding grades including the embedding of maths, English, British Values, safeguarding, ED&I etc.

· Support the management team in ensuring good/outstanding learning, teaching and assessment observation practices are embedded across all trainers /IQAs

· Effective and robust assessment and internal verification procedures and practices are in place and being adhered to in line with regulatory, funding and awarding requirements

Essential

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a quality improvement or compliance role

· Ability to monitor, evaluate and record performance, and identify areas of risk

· Can work with a high degree of autonomy and manage own workload effectively

· Attention to detail and keen eye for accuracy

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce and maintain high quality documentation

Desirable

· Recent experience of delivery with apprenticeship standards

· Understanding of the current EIF and ESFA funding rules

· Evidence of recent continuous professional development

· Experience of working with awarding bodies e.g. Institute of Motor Industry and Matrix

· Understanding of End Point Assessment

· Experience of electronic learner tracking / monitoring systems

· Ability and willingness to commit to a culture of continuous learning

· Experience of the automotive sector

Salary & Benefits: £34,680 dependant on experience, 25 Days Annual Leave, Calex Employee Benefits Packages (Inc Private GP and Healthcare Services, High Street Discounts, Discounted Gym Memberships and on Demand 24 Hour Wellbeing Service (Counselling and Advice), Life Assurance, Pension, optional private Healthcare cover.

Contract: Permanent / Full Time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am -5pm, 35 hours per week. Flexibility may be required on occasions.

Place of Work: Office based, Mercedes-Benz Apprentice Academy, Milton Keynes. Occasional travel may be required.

Pre-employment Checks: Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated referees, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
