St Andrew’s Day Nursery is a private day nursery set in the beautiful village of Shilton. We’re proud of our homely setting and welcoming atmosphere. Our nursery caters to children from 8 months to 5 years across three well-resourced rooms: Baby Room, Toddler Room and Preschool.

Key Responsibilities:

-Providing high quality care and learning opportunities for children aged 0-5 years

-Support children’s learning and development following the Early Years Foundation Stage

-Provide and lead fun, educational activities tailored to children’s individual needs

-Maintain accurate and up to date records and observations

-Build strong, trusting relationships with children, family and colleagues

-Encourage independence and support with personal care routines

Enhanced DBS & Update Service We pay for your enhanced DBS check when you join and also cover the cost of registering you on the Update Service.

Mileage Paid for Training If you attend off-site training courses booked by the manager or deputy manager, we’ll reimburse 45 pence per mile for travel by car to the training.

Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) If you work overtime, you can opt for Time Off in Lieu instead of extra pay. TOIL must be approved by the Manager or Deputy Manager and taken within the same calendar year in which the overtime was worked.

What We’re Looking For

-Someone who is passionate about working with children and committed to supporting their development

-A level 2, 3, 5 or 6 qualification in childcare

-A positive, energetic and team focused attitude

-Commitment to ongoing development (we’ll support you all the way!)

-Willing to undergo a DBS check

-Provide two references
