L J Heffernan Utilities is a fast growing multi utilities company seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable and ensuring accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions within the purchase ledger
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies as necessary
- Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts payable reports
- Stock Control
- Purchase Orders
- Live Hire Reporting
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role is preferred
- Proficiency in Sage 50 accounts is essential
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
