Property Inspector

We are a well-established and growing Property Management and Maintenance Company based in South West London. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Inspector to join our team.
In this essential role, you will conduct a range of inspections to ensure that our managed properties comply with safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of quality. You will be part of a supportive team, helping us deliver a consistently excellent experience for residents and clients alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct building onboarding inspections for newly managed properties to assess condition, compliance, and readiness for management
- Carry out scheduled quarterly inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and compliance issues
- Perform quarterly fire safety and flat fire door inspections in line with statutory requirements
- Prepare clear, accurate digital inspection reports and maintain comprehensive records of all site visits
- Liaise effectively with property managers, contractors, and maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues
- Stay up to date with changes in building regulations, fire safety legislation, and industry standards
- Attend regular team meetings and contribute to departmental performance reviews
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, health & safety laws, and fire safety standards
- Proven experience in identifying and reporting on structural, mechanical, or fire safety issues
- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills
- Proficiency in using digital reporting systems and tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Greater London, particularly Zones 1–6
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively
