Sutton Croft is a leading programme management partner for the Holiday Activities & Food Programme (HAF). Funded by the Department for Education, HAF provides free activities and a hot meal to disadvantaged children during school holidays.
We are looking for a Project Support Officer to assist our work in Worcestershire and Dudley.
Our role is project management, commissioning providers, distributing grant funding and quality assurance. This is a socially impactful opportunity, working in a team who care about opportunities for young people.
This will be a wide ranging role requiring you to draw on skills including organisation, project management and partnership working with a variety of stakeholders.
It will also be a highly rewarding role, helping to ensure that thousands of disadvantaged children in receive access to high quality holiday activity and food provision in school holidays.
As Project Support Officer, you will assist our team with:
· Liaising with holiday activity providers
· Assessing grant applications from providers and making recommendations
· Issuing grant agreements to approved providers
· Liaising with families and stakeholders and responding to enquiries
· Designing and implementing marketing and communications
· Identifying and resolving project risks in a timely manner
· Contributing to quality assurance, including undertaking provider visits during holiday periods
· Contributing to reporting and evaluation
You will assist and be supported by our experienced project team.
The role is 20-25 hours but highly flexible so a range of working patterns are possible. This is a fixed term contract until January 2026 but extension is possible once DfE funding is confirmed later this year.
It is a remote, working from home position. However it is essential that you are able to assist with attend a small number of provider visits in Worcestershire & Dudley on a number of days during the Christmas, Easter and Summer holiday periods as part of quality assurance.
The role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check and compliance with safeguarding procedures.
