We’re looking for a Project Support Co-ordinator to join us on a fixed term basis until February 27th 2026.

You’ll join an established project team, working to transform access to collections information. We care for an internationally important collection and are investing in replacing our collections management system (CMS) to increase accessibility to our staff, volunteers and audiences to explore, enjoy and use.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Collections System Training Manager, you'll be part of our supportive Collections Information and Access (CIA) training team and play a crucial role in supporting the rollout of our new collections system.

We look after one of the world’s largest art and heritage collections, with over 1 million items in our ownership, as well as items on loan from other individuals and institutions. The information we hold allows us to effectively protect, care for, and tell the stories of our collections.

As this is a national role, there’s flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.


What you'll be doing:The Collections Information Access project has several workstreams, you’ll be using our project management frameworks to assist the Collections System Training Manager as they develop and implement the training plan. Working closely with the project team and the wider organisation you’ll support joined up working, great communication and deliver a successful project rollout.

Your responsibilities will include accurate reporting, data handling, auditing, supporting communications to users and scheduling training sessions. You’ll collaborate with the Project Managers and wider project team to share and collate information, and ensure planners and timelines are maintained. You’ll also help us to find ways to improve.

  • organisational and planning skills
  • experience of working on projects, including using project management tools and techniques
  • comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
