Our site employs a large team of around 360 employees and is always growing! Deritend is situated in the Midlands and is an accessible site with the M5 and local Train station just on our doorstep.

The Role
As our Master Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for the creation of viable production plans to satisfy demand and optimise operations. You will also monitor the progress of your plans and see them through to completion.
You will use your teamwork and collaboration skills to work alongside the production planning team, engaging with a variety of teams including operations, engineering, procurement, quality and logistics to ensure optimal on time delivery of plans.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Monitor production schedules and issue production orders aligned with the master plan.
- Partner with planning and operations to determine throughput needs for the 14-week sales forecast.
- Provide operations with robust, realistic plans that meet demand with precision.
- Manage WIP and inventory levels to meet working capital targets.
- Identify, prioritise, and escalate supply chain risks before they impact delivery.

To succeed as a Production Scheduler, you will have previous experience working in a planning function within a manufacturing environment, particularly working in investment casting is advantageous.
This role will have a high level of responsibility for example creating production plans, so having experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities is desired.
To succeed in this role, you will have a high level of adaptability to change your working style depending on your stakeholders, you will have influencing and organisational skills.
