We are a growing condiments manufacturer specializing in small-batch production for our own brand and other businesses. Based in Sheffield, we're known for our commitment to quality and creativity. This is a hands-on operation with big plans for the future, including an upcoming move to a new, larger facility.
We're looking for a dedicated Production Assistant to join our small but growing team on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone with experience in a commercial food production or kitchen environment. You’ll be a key part of our operation, helping with the preparation, production, and packaging of our high-quality products.
What You'll Do
- Cook and create: Prepare and cook small batches of preserves and sauces, following our recipes and production schedules.
- Produce with care: Bottle, label, and package finished products with precision and attention to detail.
- Keep things running smoothly: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring everything is clean and efficient.
- Uphold standards: Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are met at all times.
- Manage stock: Monitor ingredient and packaging levels, reporting when supplies need to be replenished.
- Lend a hand: Assist with general cleaning, organization, and preparing goods for dispatch.
What We're Looking For
- Experience is essential: You must have previous experience in a commercial food production or kitchen environment.
- Food safety knowledge: A strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices is a must. Certifications are a bonus!
- Detail-oriented: A commitment to quality and a strong attention to detail.
- A team player: A positive attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a small team.
- Physically able: Comfortable with lifting, standing for long periods, and repetitive tasks.
- Adaptable: Flexibility to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
