Job Overview
We are seeking an Assembly Operative to join our manufacturing team, specialising in Motor Protection Relays for the Oil/Gas Renewable Sector.
Experience in assembly operations ideal, but not essential as full training can be given.
This role is crucial to our production schedule and therefore reliability, punctuality and manual dexterity is essential.

The ideal candidate must be able to:
- Work on own initiative as necessary and collaboratively with team members as well as designers, engineers.
- Able to follow documentation (e.g shop floor job travellers)
- Basic understanding of drawings and measurements giving attention to detail.
- Demonstrates and assures knowledge of in-house safety procedures for company.
- Experience using machine/hand tools (e.g. electric screwdrivers, hand screwdrivers, files, Taps)
- Aids in the troubleshooting and modification of elements to resolve any design issues.
- Participates in the maintenance of the working area and equipment to keep the area clean, orderly, and safe.
- Desire to learn new skills as required for role development.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with assembling products using hand tools and power tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail are essential qualities for success in this role.

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift 7am – 3.30pm Mon – Thur, Early finish Friday

- 6 month Probation period
- £12.21 per hour reviewed at end of probation period.
- Role is 100% on site
