Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production and Materials Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by assisting with various tasks in a warehouse environment and recording the use of materials in our specialised software and play a key role within our quality management team.
Duties
- Loading and unloading of goods.
- Checking deliveries are correct and logging them on specialised software.
- Picking and packing goods for dispatch.
- Booking goods for collection by third parties.
- Cycle counting and regular stock checks.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring materials are stored properly.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Fork Truck license will be required, although training can be given if necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow specific guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Must be physically fit, capable of lifting heavy items, and standing for extended periods.
