Job title: Procurement Group Leader – Governance & Compliance

Salary: £54,793+ (Depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
Act as a focal point for the Air Governance and Compliance team providing support to all Air Procurement Directors and their Teams
Lead the Identification and promotion of opportunities for improvement, through process simplification and standardisation, introduction of new capability, and/or expansion of existing solutions and practices
Leading and influencing cross-sector/cross-functional team(s), providing expertise and delivery of business requirements
Application of the Global Assurance Framework and development of Air Policy, Governance Framework and Process. Work across the wider enterprise for identify areas of improvement and co-ordinated improvement activity
Establish, plan, and manage a risk-based audit programme for Procurement both internal and external. This provides complete coverage of “in use” processes and where appropriate metrication.
Work with the Air Procurement Governance leads to deliver goals and change projects including simplification / modernisation of governance and compliance
Document Management and Compliance – Managing the Procurement SharePoint, including document retention, permissions etc
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Excellent understanding of procurement governance and compliance
Clear and confident communicator with the ability to build effective, trusting relationships across all levels and able to establish efficient and operative working relationships and to influence key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
Skilled in process knowledge, governance, audit, and functional awareness; able to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex tasks, proactive mindset with a track record of driving improvements and collaborative problem-solving
Confident in analysing data and presenting well-reasoned recommendations; strong critical evaluation skills applied to reports, insights, and decision-making
Desirable:
Involvement in delivering or supporting change and transformation initiatives
Experience working across different functions, such as Export Control, Legal, or Commercial
MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification and/or degree-level education
