About The Role
Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor to join our Rochester Depot. The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the Transport Depot and covering the Transport Manager in their absence.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, who have won numerous awards for Operational, Business and H&S excellence over the last two years.
The Transport Supervisor will work full time, Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 20:00pm. With varied hours and days in peak season.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist our transport management team in the smooth running of the transport function
- Ensure that the trunking operation runs as smoothly as possible throughout the evening
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements
- Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard when required
- Assist with boxing the vehicles for deliveries
- Ensure drivers are managed correctly to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations, using the company recognised processes to manage full compliance
- Thoroughly investigate any incidents, accidents and near misses when required
- Assist the training team with the addition of new drivers to the transport department
- Support the Transport Manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers

About You
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum 1 year in a transport/logistics office at team leader or management level
- Experience in multi-drop delivery operations.
- Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of driver hours, working time regulations, and compliance.
- IOSH & First Aid certified.
- LGV Licence with CPC Card.
