We are currently undergoing expansion and are excited to advertise a Procurement Assistant (buyer) Position. The successful candidate will be an organised, methodical worker with an ambition to grow the role, aiding in the continued growth of the company. The candidate would also be adaptable to new processes & tech savvy, with innovation through new technology being a staple of our business’ success.
Day to day tasks will involve;
- Liaising with site operatives and supervisors to ensure that the correct materials are delivered to site in a timely manner.
- Ordering of Maintenance materials and managing maintenance materials as they are delivered.
- Helping our established procurement team to manage stock levels across 20+ locations and large head office stores.
- Maintaining our existing database of products and prices. Raising purchase orders and collection notes when required.
- Maintaining clear communication with suppliers to establish lead times & estimated demand.
- Raising & Matching Purchase orders using Quickbooks
- Sourcing off specification items from new suppliers
- Holiday cover for buying/commercial department
- Managing stock/stores
Required
A Full UK Driving licence
Computer literate
Confident stock taking / driving LWB Van / Carrying and Moving Materials
Preferential
Experience with Quickbooks
Experience with Office 365
Experience within the Construction industry
Experience within a Plumbers Trade merchant environment
Experience within the Plumbing Trade / knowledge of materials.
Full training would be given.
