Plant Coordinator (Deployment)
Job type: Hybrid (3 days in Skipton office)

The Plant Coordinator (Deployment) is responsible for managing the hire of JNB plant equipment to internal customers, ensuring efficient coordination, high standards of customer service, and adherence to company procedures and safety regulations. This role is critical in supporting the safe and effective utilisation of plant and fleet resources across the business, contributing to operational efficiency and compliance.
As a Plant Coordinator (Deployment) you will:
- Coordinate the movement and allocation of plant and fleet across projects, liaising with site teams to forecast needs and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain adherence to JN Bentley minimum plant standards and legal regulations. Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions where required.
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, plant hirers and hauliers, to ensure quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor utilisation and transport costs across the fleet.
- Use data to identify efficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with the Service & Maintenance team, Plant Manager, CAPEX and Digital teams, Resources and Procurement to align fleet strategy with business objectives.
What you’ll need:
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of plant and fleet maintenance procedures.
- Proficient in asset management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of plant operations and haulage.
- Familiarity of procurement processes and supplier management.
