Job Vacancy: - Pick Operative (PM Shift)
Mudwalls (Food Group) are a growing consolidator / distributor, relating to the supply of Fine Food and Drink, including Mudwalls Fresh Produce, to the independent Retail / Foodservice sectors. All the products we supply are consolidated and distributed from our purpose-built Facilitation Centre in Redditch, Worcestershire. This ensures that all the Fine Food and Drink we supply meets the strict Mudwalls (Food Group) standards.
Due to continued company growth, Mudwalls (Food Group) are recruiting for a Pick Operative (PM Shift) to join our existing team.

Key Requirements
· Must Live within a 20-mile radius of our Head Office address (B98 0RE)
· Physical fitness to work at a fast pace and manage manual handling, alongside use of pallet trucks (manual & PPT)
· Experience in a similar role with chilled warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
· Must be over 18 years of age with own transport
· Current FLT license would be an advantage but not essential
· Hold the required standard of English language and literacy in relation to the role
· Completion and recording of all company documentation as required
· High standards of personal and food hygiene to be practiced at all times
· Flexibility (prepared to perform any other reasonable requested duties as requested)
· Supervising and assisting with the loading / unloading of vehicles
· Complying with all legal and in-house regulations and rules
· Maintain high level of professional behaviour at all times
· Responsibility for food safety and product quality
Job Spec
· Picking stock against requirements per route / vehicle and finalising orders at expected KPI rate
· Stock inventory quality checks and counting
· Wrap and identify pallets for onward delivery to customers
· Ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy and free from obstruction (inc. cardboard bailing / pallet stacking)
· Report any issues to Line Manager, such as; product shortages, defects or damages
· Ensure correct rotation of stock used for picking from stock inventory, with an understanding Best Before & Use By dates
· Support other areas of the warehouse function where required (i.e. Produce Packhouse)
· Flexible Full time contract aligned with business requirements (inc Saturday’s and Bank Holidays)
· PM Shift (no night shift work) within PM Pick Shift operating times of 12:00pm-20:30pm (with 30 minute unpaid break)
· 5 days per week (Mon to Fri) with no Saturday or Sunday working as standard
· 28 days Holiday (inc. 8 Bank Holidays). Incremental loyalty based holiday rewarded annually (at employment anniversary)
· Competitive Hourly Pay (rate to be offered dependent on experience)
· Training will be provided (to include relevant product knowledge and company procedures)
