Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive their medications safely and efficiently. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment.
Duties
- Assist pharmacist on the counter and handing out medications accurately.
- Manage inventory by restocking shelves and ensuring that all medications are stored correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and assisting with prescription orders.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient information.
- Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks, including filing and data entry.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of medication administration and pharmacy practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards within healthcare.
- Basic computer skills for managing pharmacy software and documentation.
