Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated personal care assistant in North London area to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. Companionship care, lighthouse duties, some cooking, some errands, and able to help with medication. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in domiciliary care or care home settings, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to follow care plans effectively.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established care plans tailored to each client's individual requirements.
- Foster a supportive and friendly environment that encourages client engagement and participation.
- Mandatory training and a valid DBS essential.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a home care or care home environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- The ability to drive and hold a valid driver's license is desirable
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans is beneficial.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
