Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to a individual in a home settings. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and maintaining a respectful and supportive environment. Reliability and commitment is vital.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Support clients with transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate personnel
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure each client's individual needs are met.
- Night support is required between the hours of 8pm and 10am
- Day support between 9am and 8pm.
- You will be required to be flexible enough to move between night and days shifts as required.
- This is a bespoke package of care and requires dedicated carers with a happy disposition.
Skills
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with clients and team members
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with client and their families
- Experience in home care is desirable.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately
- A valid driving licence is preferred for reaching a rural location.
