Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Parts Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of parts to our customers and various locations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily responsibilities.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport parts to designated locations.
- Load and unload parts, ensuring that all items are secured and handled with care.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any discrepancies or damages.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in the Parts Department as needed, including inventory management and organisation of parts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required during loading and unloading tasks.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial but not essential.
