Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote early childhood development.
- Provide high-quality care for children, ensuring their safety, health, and emotional well-being.
- Support children's learning through play and structured activities, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, including toys and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive team atmosphere.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
Hours
- 3 1/2 days a week covering 8-1 or 1-6 or 1 full day 8-6 and 1 1/2 day either 8-1 or 1-6. (Opportunity for overtime when staff are on leave)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £9,523.83-£11,310.00 per year
Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
