We are looking for a reliable and practical housekeeper/personal assistant to help with household tasks and provide support to an elderly family member. This role combines cleaning, light admin, and driving, with occasional help in speaking English on behalf of our family member at appointments or on the phone.
You must be someone who is kind, organised, and confident handling small responsibilities independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- General house cleaning (e.g. tidying, vacuuming, bathrooms, laundry)
- Driving an elderly family member to appointments, shopping, or errands
- Supporting with spoken English at places like NHS appointments or phone calls
- Making bookings (e.g. private dentist, GP, salon, etc.)
- Arranging basic services (e.g. plumber, handyman) when needed
- Following up on small admin tasks or errands
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and confident driving skills
- Fluent in spoken and basic written English
- Able to assist someone who speaks limited English
- Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive
- Prior experience in housekeeping or PA-type roles is preferred
- Friendly, respectful, and patient
Hours:
- 3 days per week (e.g. Monday, Wednesday, Friday – flexible)
- Around 6 hours per day
- Flexibility around appointment times is appreciated
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 per week
